These Terms govern your use of the Scientific Calqon mobile application ("the App"), published by Pinclave. By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms; if you don't agree, don't use the App.
1. What the App is
The App is a scientific, symbolic (CAS), graphing, matrix, statistics and unit-conversion calculator. All computation runs locally on your device.
2. Results are provided for general use — verify critical work
The App's math engine is built and tested with care, but no software is guaranteed to be error-free. Results may be affected by rounding, numerical limits, display precision, or defects. Do not rely on the App as the sole basis for decisions where an error could cause harm or loss — engineering, construction, navigation, medical dosing, financial commitments, or similar. Independently verify results that matter.
3. Not professional advice
Nothing in the App is engineering, scientific, financial, medical, tax, or other professional advice. You are responsible for how you use the results.
4. Your data is your responsibility
Calculation history and settings are stored only on your device. If you uninstall the App, clear its data, or lose or reset your device, that data is permanently lost. We can't recover it because we never have a copy.
5. Subscriptions and billing
The App offers a free tier and an optional Calqon Pro subscription with a free trial. Billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled; manage or cancel in your store account (effective end of period). Trial terms are shown at purchase.
6. Academic honesty
If you use the App for coursework or examinations, you are responsible for complying with your institution's rules on calculator and CAS use.
7. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use. Don't reverse engineer, resell, misuse, or use the App unlawfully.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law — including any warranty that results will be accurate or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinclave is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or financial loss. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the App or update these Terms anytime. You may stop using it anytime by uninstalling.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pinclave is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
